Testimony of Witnesses - Power of Agreement
King James scripture references:
Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15
Matthew 18:16
2 Corinthians 13:1
Proverbs 26:1-2
According to Old & New Testament scriptures referenced above, “at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter or every word be established” is a spiritual law in effect today. I encourage you to read each scripture reference and all that comes before and after them. It will help to provide added context which can help you better understand.
Briefly, I will explain how the Deuteronomy 17 passages strongly influence this message. Moses was setting up the administration of justice for the children of Israel. The first instance mentions if there is anyone who is engaging in the sinful act of idol worshipping, they must be brought before the community. If two or three people declare they have witnessed the accused engage in the act of idol worship, the punishment of stoning to death was carried out. This rule was put in place to prevent false testimonies against each other. In this scenario, the witnesses of two or three was evidence enough to place the judgement of death. If by chance, there was confusion in the matter then it was escalated before the priests and the judge to make a verdict. Deuteronomy chapter 19 reiterates what is put in place in chapter 17.
As we gain understanding of this spiritual principle, it is imperative that we understand how crucial the power of agreement is, especially in testimony concerning us. There are witnesses speaking against you in the earth and spirit realms. Revelation 12:10 lets us know there is an accuser of our brethren who indicts charges against them before Yahweh day and night. The evidence of this and other witnesses can affect the determination of the consequence or outcome that affects your life currently and in the afterlife.
Proverbs 26:1-2 provides added awareness of how this principle works. These verses confirm the unlikeliness of praise coming to a foolish person and a baseless curse causing harm to the innocent. Meaning if there is no evidence to substantiate the claims of the witness against you, there is no reason to believe that there will be illegitimate consequences or judgments. However, we do have to keep in mind truthfully, there are cases where the evidence of our sins can be stacked against us.
Here is where I place an insistent request for repentance of sin and receiving salvation through Yeshua the Christ. It is clearly said in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Yahweh is eternal life through Yeshua the Christ, our Lord.” We also need to consider Galatians 6:7-8 that warns us that Yahweh will not be mocked, the laws of sowing and reaping, choices and consequences are in effect. When the acts of sin are planted in the fields of our lives, we reap a harvest of eternal death and destruction. To the contrary, when we live a life according to Yahweh’s moral guidance and ethical standards, we gain an eternal reward.
Again, the curse causeless cannot stand. Until you decide to no longer take part in sinful acts, they will continue to bear witness against you. Once you decide to repent and accept Yeshua the Christ as Lord and Savior, those witnesses against you are silenced by the three witnesses of the Godhead, Yahweh the Father, Yeshua the Son, and Ruach Elohim (Holy Spirit) that declare your sins have been washed away by the Blood of Yeshua, the atoning sacrifice for your sins.
I pray this teaching brings you into awareness the witnesses against you. I pray you are resolved in your heart and mind willing to transform the testimonies that shape the words and matters concerning you. Please join me in this simple prayer repentance and salvation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You, acknowledging my need for Your forgiveness. I recognize that I have sinned and fallen short of Your standards. I am truly sorry for my actions, thoughts, and words that have separated me from You.
Today, I turn away from my old ways and surrender my life to You. I believe that Yeshua the Christ, Your Son, died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I accept Him as my Lord and Savior.
Please cleanse me, renew my heart, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me walk in obedience to Your Word and live a life that honors You.
Thank You for Your grace, mercy, and love. In Yeshua the Christ's name, I pray. Amen."
